disappear here

If you're in the Los Angeles area this Friday, March 6th, you definitely will not want to miss the debut party for Kime Buzzelli's latest installation: Disappear Here: The Art and Fashion of Getting Caught in a Dangle at the new gallery Space 15 Twenty. The show will feature Kime's amazingly delicious art as well as fashion from the Show Pony designers with the band HECUBA performing.

The installation is rather timely; Kime recently announced the closing of Show Pony (oh so sad!!), her fashion & art installation space located in Echo Park, CA, after 9 years in business to pursue a "new chapter of creativity."

"The gallery established itself in 2000, and is home to local artists and designers who create magical one of kind pieces...this avant-garde boutique located on a funky corner of Echo Park Avenue has become more artists commune than shopping area. A breath of fresh air in a city built on mass consumerism, Show Pony blurs the line between fashion and art and turns shopping into an exercise in creativity."

You really just can't say enough about Kime - from artist to designer, stylist, entrepreneur to now recording artist (!!!), the ridiculously talented and creative Kime will be keeping busy these days designing the next line for Vans, the new packaging for Urban Decay, film posters for Star Trek, among other incredibly exciting projects. She's one of my all-time favorite artists (see two Kime paintings below from my personal collection!), so be sure to attend the Disappear Here event to celebrate the final days of Show Pony and the new adventures of Kime Buzzelli.
